American English and British English
Yesterday I saw a program in HGTV channel about house hounter international. They showed a young British couple who were looking for house. This program kept my attention because I could see the different between the accents. I understood everything that they were saying but some words sounded very different. I think people in England pronounce some words the way they are writing. This is very interesting for me because many words I pronounce the way they are writing. I think it maybe easier for me to learn British English than American English.

Hi Evelyn,
Yes, British English and American English are quite different sometimes. You may be surprised to know that some Americans can't understand certain British accents. I usually don't have problems because I used to live in London. But there are some American accents from states like Alabama and Mississippi that are hard for me to understand, even though they are from the same country.
